WHO WE ARE
Advancing Equity Group is dedicated to achieving greater equity for marginalized communities. We are committed to enhancing the lives of individuals who have been hindered by systemic injustice and medical racism, which are drivers of the persistent disparity in economic and wellness outcomes that marginalized communities face.
Our current initiatives focus on improving equity in healthcare and translational research. In research, we partner with faculty and staff at hospitals, clinics, and academic research centers, to develop comprehensive strategies that increase the likelihood of success in reaching recruitment and retention goals for diverse individuals in research. From ideation to dissemination, we engage diversity of thought, identity, and experience in all phases of the research process.

In healthcare, we conduct root cause analyses to inform solutions that address social determinants of health, with the goal of improving health outcomes for historically marginalized populations. As a byproduct of our partnership, researchers and healthcare teams not only reach their equity goals, but improve their cultural humility and develop feedback mechanisms that drive greater reduction in health disparities for the underserved.

Her primary focus is advancing equity in healthcare and translational research for historically marginalized populations. Amir melds experience in community engagement, mixed-methods research, and tech in her approach to designing pragmatic, data-driven solutions for each project.

He has a proven track record of using visual media to reach diverse audiences in ways that they understand and truly resonate with. Kameron has developed impactful visual media for clients such as the Skillman Foundation with Mayor Mike Duggan, to clinical research teams desiring to recruit participants of color in challenging trust climates. Kameron is dedicated to advancing equity through visual media.
